A pop-rock groove singer from the D.C. area. After moving around as a military kid to different regions of the country and being introduced to the pop-rock music of Y2K radio, she blends a little bit of sass with a whole lot of soul. She brings her story and versatility to every stage- releasing music that defies genre boundaries and tells raw stories. Ella hopes to keep performing in any capacity- continuing to teach and learn about music and grow her voice.”

Ella Buettner

With a “little bit of sass, and a whole lot of soul” twenty two year old, Ella Buettner, can’t help but leave her mark on audiences with her ability to turn any song into her own. As a military brat raised on the fast friendship of her first i-Tunes downloads, she immersed herself in memorizing the intricacies of the voices of her childhood spilling from her iHome speakers. When she arrived at a new house, the first box ripped open was her janky electric keyboard and the first Google search was GuitarTabs.com- where she would perform covers of Adele, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift for hours on end. After moving to Nashville to pursue a B.M. in Commercial Music at Belmont University, Ella learned to pivot from the chaotic nature her nomadic childhood and enter the stability of a stage under her feet and a microphone in her hand. Continuing to captivate from stages like the Fisher Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and Massey Performing Arts Center with her various ensembles and performance opportunities, Ella plans to enter her next chapter of writing, recording, performing and teaching.
